The Children’s Society came to us looking for a promotional video to be created that explained who The Children’s Society are, and what it is that they do. It quickly became one of our favourite projects from 2016, being one of the first to kick off an incredible year of charity projects for us at Fruitmedia.
The final piece combined film and animation to create a highly emotive piece that not only met the brief, but took it further than the client had hoped. The animation was created using stop motion, with the drawings created in-house and later tracked to the footage.
We were delighted to be able to use drama students from a local academy in the casting of this project – our relationship with the academy has enabled multiple opportunities for them and helped us with casting on a number of projects.
The project featured in local newspapers, and after a week of assemblies at the academy, teachers and the head teacher were still getting tearful after watching the film. They were asking the question, ‘How does this happen every time I see this film?’ A question which can be answered simply by viewing the film.
As well as creating a visually innovative and successful video campaign our client feedback is of the utmost importance to us and some of The Children’s Society’s feedback can be found below:
‘Fruitmedia has been fantastic in helping us bring the complex nature of The Children’s Society’s work and our brand to life. The end product is excellent and a real credit to Fruitmedia’s creative and artistic skills.’
